Heart of Craft at The Woods!

Our last 2011 show! We will be at the Heart of Craft Holiday Show being held at The Woods event space on Sunday, December 18th. The Woods is a local music venue and event space located in historic Sellwood at 6637 SE Milwaukee Ave, Portland, OR, 97202. The show is open from 3 pm to 8 pm. Do some last minute shopping with over 30 local crafters! It is a 21 and over show so no kiddos allowed. Check out their website here.

Fremont Festival of Lights!

Our second to last holiday show this year is The Fremont Festival of Lights! It is happening on Friday, December 9th from 5 pm to 9 pm. Now, Santa is going to be arriving on a fire truck thats coming down NE Fremont Street at 5 pm and will be ready to take pictures and see kiddos in an area called Santa's Village right by vendor pod #1. There are 4 different designated vendor areas on the street. First off, we will be in Vendor Pod #1 located at 4020 NE Fremont at the corner of NE 41st and Fremont in a large 20x40 tent right by Santa's Village and the business Foot Traffic. The second tent is located at 45th and Fremont (by Soluna Grill) where there will also a Celtic Band playing Irish music, the third tent at 47th and Fremont has the Children's Craft Tent (by Paper Jam Press), and the fourth tents are across the street at 48th and Fremont (by A Children's Place). Please come down and join in all the fun!!

Madeleine Marketplace...

The Madeleine Marketplace is being held on Thursday, December 8th from 3 pm to 8 pm and we will be there! We have made bunches and bunches of new stock in barrettes and headbands that will be ready for shoppers to check out too. The Madeleine Marketplace is a holiday bazaar that features over 50 artisans, kids crafts, and Santa pictures as well as their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony which commences at 6 pm. Garden Home's Holiday Bazaar

Join us on Saturday, December 3rd at Garden Home's Holiday Bazaar! It is held at the Garden Home Recreation Center at 7475 SW Oleson Rd, Portland, OR, 97223. Hours are from 9 am to 4 pm. There are going to be over 100 vendors selling handcrafted items here! Plus there is a pancake breakfast, a raffle, and a huge used book sale! Please come by- it is going to be a big event :) It is their 27th year doing the show! Check out their website here.

Duniway Elementary Holiday Boutique!

We will be at the Duniway Elementary Holiday Boutique on Friday, December 2nd from 10 am to 7:30 pm. It is held at Duniway Elementary School at 7700 SE Reed College Place which is on the corner of Reed College Place and Rex Streets. The boutique itself takes place in the south gym of the school. There is a centralized cashier to make it easy for shoppers to only pay once for all of their shopping. In addition, 20 % of all vendor sales go directly to Duniway Elementary to benefit the students. Check out their website for more info.

PDX Craft - A Holiday Marketplace!

Hello! This is kind of our most exciting post this year! Urban Designs Unique Jewelry by NW Artists will be at PDX Craft - A Holiday Marketplace tomorrow, Saturday November 26th! The event itself was entirely put together by us - Urban Designs!!! We are incredibly excited to showcase some amazing local talent and all handmade goods at the show.

We will have 33 vendors at the event showcasing their wares from 10 am to 5 pm. It is being held at Open Bible Church at 3223 SE 92nd Ave, Portland, OR, 97266. We also have lots of food such as homemade soups and yummy sweet treats available for purchase that help support the Youth Program.

Gramma's Bazaar ~ November 19th, 2011

Join us, Saturday, November 19th for Gramma's Bazaar up at Vancouver's First Church of God. The bazaar is held in the gym from 9 am to 4 pm and features over a hundred vendors featuring hand crafted gifts. Address is 3300 NE 78th St, Vancouver, WA, 98665. New Hope Community Church's Holiday Marketplace - 2011

Please join us at our bazaar for the weekend.... We will be at New Hope Community Church's Holiday Marketplace Bazaar on Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th. This will be our 4th year at this show!

It is located at 17311 SE Stevens Road, Portland, OR, 97086 and is across from I-205 from Clackamas Town Center Mall.

Hours on Friday are from 10 am to 6 pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Our 2nd show of the season is at the Lewis Elementary School Bazaar! We love this show and are proud to have been a part of it for years now. Here are the details... Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th please join Urban Designs Unique Jewelry by NW Artists at the Llewellyn Holiday Market! It is held at Llewellyn Elementary School in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood at 6301 SE 14th Ave. There will be over 60 artists selling their crafts to peruse! A neat thing is that the vendor's fees benefit the Llewellyn Outdoor School Program. Join us Friday the 4th from 2:15 pm to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm! Last Thursday in September!

What do you know?! It's September and it's nice out! Like almost 80 degrees out today! This is the nicest weather of the month and we are thrilled to be doing Last Thursday today! Come down and meet us in front of Townshend's Tea inbetween NE 22nd and NE 23rd Streets on NE Alberta from 6pm to 10pm for the last little bit of summer :)

August's Last Thursday!

It was another crazy, but fun filled night at Last Thursday! Look to the left to see some of our lovely, soft and fluffy tutus on display. We made them filled with rows of fluffy tulle and ribbons. They are tie-on wrap arounds so they fit any little one's waist! Perfect for those babies, little toddlers, and growing up girls :)



The crowds were crazy busy today just like last time! Adding to the craziness, right down from our spot we had a DJ playing bollywood music, dancing, plus a couple of ladies doing difficult yogi/gymnast poses. Check out the pics!

Alberta Street Fair, 2011

We had a pretty good day, and here are some pics to enjoy! The first photo shows our booth and both Jen and Sarah hiding behind the tables haha...

The next two pictures are way awesome and were pulled off of the Alberta Street Fair's Photobucket album and their Facebook page! One of the people associated with the event came by and snapped a couple of photos. They loved our barrettes and their colorful amazing-ness!! Love!

Fremont Fest 2011...

We had an absolute great time at the Fremont Fest this year! Dare say it was shaping up to be our best show of the summer! It was also awesome because the street was closed and the streets could really be filled up. Both of us had family come visit us during the day which was fun too :) Check out some of these camera shots! The first two are from the parade... the last one is our set up :) for the day.

Last Thursday in July!

This was literally the craziest Last Thursday we have ever been at! The crowds of people were monsterous and the music loud and bananas! We have some cool pics to share with you of the requisite stiltwalker parade, Jen wearing one of her awesome fairy tiara creations, and of the crazy crowds as well! Yes, that photo to the bottom left implies the woman was not wearing a shirt... because she wasn't! See? Crazy!

July's Last Thursday, 7/28

Urban Designs will be at Last Thursday on NE Alberta Street tomorrow after 1 pm by NE 22nd Ave on NE Alberta Street. We set up in front of Townshend's Tea House and have for several years now... The show is officially open from 7 pm to 10 pm and the street is closed and open to the public. We will be there setting up and ready for people by 4 or 5 though :) It's going to be 80 + degrees so we hope it's a busy one ;)

Montavilla Recap

So it rained ALOT on us on Sunday's Montavilla Street Fair. Buckets and buckets!

Everything got soaked on our front table, but somehow we survived! Thank goodness for our canopy..... It actually got nice that afternoon around 4:20 or so which was funny because the event ended at 5 pm haha! We still had fun and we thank the patrons that braved the weather! We will be back next year! Check out some of our hand sewn headbands below.... The bottom row was just finished last week!

1st Annual Montavilla Street Fair

On Sunday, July 17th we will be at the Montavilla Street Fair for its' first annual celebration! It will be open from 10 am until 5 pm and you will find craft vendors like us of course, live music, a beer and wine garden, and kids activities. It is being held on two different blocks, on SE 78th between Washington and Stark and on SE 79th between Stark and Pine. We are going to be on SE 70th right by Flying Pie Pizza, YUM!

10th Annual Mississippi Ave Street Fair!

We are very excited to be a part of the Mississippi Street Fair again this year! It is on Saturday, July 9th and open for vending and fun from 10 am to 9 pm. Located on and up and down NE Mississippi Ave inbetween NE Skidmore and NE Fremont Streets. We will be located near NE Failing...

Please come check this out it is bound to be a really excellent day... There are over 100 vendors with locally made products and crafts as well as dozens of food carts, local restaurants, a beer garden, and even FIVE stages with 32 bands playing in total!!

Not to mention, that Urban Designs will be there to show you all of our awesome crafts! We are so excited to see you there this Saturday!!

Last Thursday in June...

Hello! Wanted to remind all of you that we will be at Last Thursday on June 30th from the afternoon probably around 3 pm until 10 pm that night! We will be there with all of our wares, ready to see all the friendly people and enjoy hopefully- a nice day!!

We do have one of our new bow style barrettes there for sale for the first time! Come get them while they're hot and new!

We will be at our regular spot of course, in front of Townshend's Tea House on NE Alberta near NE 22nd Avenue. See ya there!
